Many have seen this video that I shared on my page a while back. I haven't been able to get it out of my mind since then. There are so many teachable things here...but what I want to focus on is "take time...find refreshing"! Watch and then read my post underneath.
I love object lessons. That is what I see here...stay with me.
We get so busy in our daily lives, we sometimes forget that life was meant to enjoy. We were not created to be all work and no play. Even if we do have to work...we should find a way to enjoy it by taking time to "jump in the puddles."
Some people may look at puddles and see only the muddy water and inconvenience of walking around them. But what if we saw them in a different way? What if we took the time to enjoy those puddles. You may have the responsibility of taking care of an entire office or home (walking the dog)...that still doesn't mean that you can't take some time to see what's right in front of your eyes. Take time to go outside and enjoy the sunshine (or puddles if it's raining)...even if for a short time. Spend time on a park bench enjoying quiet time with God.
You think that you can't put the leash down for just a few minutes? Believe me...the work will still be there when you are finished with your time of refreshing. You can pick up the leash and continue right where you left off...but oh the wonderful feeling you have by just taking that little moment for yourself.
It's okay to take time and refresh yourself...as a matter of fact....read this...
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]" Matthew 11: 28
Take time...refresh! Renew your joy of being carefree...if only for a jump or two!
